Who I am
I’m Laura Deeley, and I run Luna’s Helping Paws (also known as Train with Luna). I’m responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact me at laura@trainwithluna.com or on 07428 620351.
What I collect
When you send a message through the contact form, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), who you are getting in touch as, and your message. I collect the same kind of information if you email, phone or message me directly.
If we go on to work together, I may also keep notes about the support agreed, such as session plans, risk assessments and how sessions are going. Please don’t include sensitive medical details in the contact form: I’ll talk anything like that through with you directly, and will only record what is needed, with your agreement.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a copy of your message.
- To arrange, plan and deliver sessions you have asked for.
- To keep the records I need to run the business, such as invoices.
I use your information because you have asked me to respond or to provide a service (taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, and then providing it), and because I have a legitimate interest in running the business. I never sell your information or use it for marketing without asking you first.
Children’s information
When I work with a child, information about that child is agreed with their parent or carer, or with their school. When I work in a school, the school remains responsible for its own pupil records and safeguarding records, and I follow the school’s policies. I keep only what I need to plan and run sessions safely.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of trusted companies to run the website and email. They only use your information to provide their service to me:
- Vercel hosts the website and processes contact form messages.
- Resend sends the contact form emails.
- Web3Forms is a back-up service that delivers form messages if the main route is unavailable.
- Google provides my email (Gmail), where messages are kept, and the fonts used on this website, which means your browser shares its IP address with Google when pages load.
Some of these companies may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
I don’t use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to working together are deleted after 12 months.
- Records for families and schools I work with are kept while we are working together, and then for six years, so that I can meet tax and legal obligations and answer any later questions.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, ask me to limit how I use it, or object to me using it. To do any of these, email laura@trainwithluna.com. I’ll reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
